Monday. The name of the day itself carries with it the promise of a new beginning. But did you wake up remembering the failures of last week? The opportunities you let slip away? The project that didn't work out? It's natural for our minds to insist on dwelling in the past, searching for answers or seeking someone to blame. However, God has a specific message for you today: that's not where your life is happening.
Isaías 43 was written for a defeated people. Israel was in Babylonian captivity, their hopes seemed dead, their dreams buried. And it was in that very scenario of despair that the prophet brought these incredible words. God was not denying that people's painful past. He was calling their attention to something that was already in motion, something that would only be perceived if they stopped looking backward.
Jesus Himself, in Luke 9:62, said that no one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is fit for the kingdom of God. Not because the past is insignificant, but because the future God is architecting is so much greater, so different, so much better that it deserves all our attention. That new thing is already happening. It's not just planned. It's not just in God's intention. It's in motion. And you might be missing everything while you're trapped in unproductive reflections.
This is the moment to reorient your focus. If you're starting a week of work, know that God has already prepared a path of excellence for you to walk. If you're starting a new project, understand that you're not alone on this journey. If you carry guilt from previous attempts, set yourself free: it's not about not making mistakes, it's about allowing the Holy Spirit to re-educate you and reposition you. Your story didn't end in the chapter of failure. You're in the middle of the chapter of restoration.
May you be able to feel today, even if subtly, that movement of the Spirit in your life. Perhaps it's a door opening, a person arriving with just the right word, sudden clarity about a decision. It may seem small in the eyes of the world, but it's the new thing God is doing. And it's so close that you must not waste another second looking backward.
