"Then the LORD replied: 'Write down the revelation and make it plain on tablets so that a herald may run with it. For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay.'

— Habakkuk 2:2-3

How many times have you found yourself waiting for a response from God that seemed never to come? Perhaps you have prayed repeatedly, asked for the answer to come quickly, and silence was your only companion. Today we want to speak with you about this, because God's silence is not abandonment. It is, often times, a school of faith that transforms us in ways we never imagined.

Habakkuk lived in times of injustice. He cried out to God, questioned, and anguished over what he saw around him. And God answered, but not as he expected. Instead of an immediate solution, God gave him a vision and told him to wait. Write, God said. Make it clear. Because it will come in due time. This is the nature of God's promise: it has its time, its purpose, its perfection in God's timeline, not ours.

What Habakkuk discovered, and what you too can discover today, is that waiting has a purpose. It is not empty, it is not forgetfulness. During the wait, God is working in us. He is developing in our hearts that faith which does not depend on circumstances, that trust which remains when promises have not yet materialized. Waiting purifies us. It removes from us impatience, despair, unbelief. It prepares us to receive what God promises, because we will be transformed people ready to enjoy that blessing.

Perhaps today you are in a season of waiting. Waiting for healing, for a restored relationship, for an opportunity, for clarity in your calling. The Lord does not want you to merely wait passively. He wants you to write down the vision, to guard it in your heart, to declare it with faith. And then, while you wait, allow Him to work on your soul, refining it, strengthening it, preparing it.

Habakkuk's promise is not only that God will come. It is that He will come in due time, and will not delay beyond what is necessary. You can rest in that certainty today. Your waiting is not in vain. Your cry has been heard. And the vision that God has planted in your heart shall be fulfilled, because He is faithful, He always has been, and He will be eternally.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, I acknowledge today that my doubts and my hurries do not alter Your perfect timing. Help me to trust while I wait, to write down the vision You have placed in my heart, and to allow this waiting to transform me. May my faith grow not despite the delay, but through it. In the name of Jesus, amen.

Deus não está longe. Ele está aqui, nesse momento, com você.
