"Rather, set apart Christ as Lord in your hearts. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have."
— 1 Peter 3:15-16
There is something powerful in a life that speaks without needing to shout. When you walk down the street, go to work, or sit at the table with your family, there is a silent language in your choices, in your face, in the way you face difficulties. People notice. They see something different in those who truly belong to Jesus, and often they cannot explain what it is. It is in that exact moment that your life becomes an irresistible testimony.
Peter writes to Christians scattered throughout various regions of the Roman Empire, living under pressure, persecution, and misunderstanding. He does not tell them to preach in the streets or force religious conversations. Rather, he appeals to something much deeper. He asks them to set apart Christ as Lord in their hearts—to make Him the center, the filter, the reason for each breath. When Christ is truly Lord in your heart, you cannot hide it. It overflows naturally.
The truth is that people do not want perfect arguments; they want incarnate hope. They want to see someone who was broken by suffering but was not destroyed by it. Someone who faces uncertainties with serenity. Someone whose smile is not fake because it comes from a well deeper than circumstances. Your testimony is not a presentation; it is a living reality. And when someone perceives this, naturally the question arises: "Why? Where do you get this strength?" In that moment, you do not need to be eloquent; you need to be honest. You need to share what Jesus means to you.
Today, allow Christ to truly be Lord in your heart. Not just in moments of crisis or morning devotion, but in small decisions, in conversations, in your reactions to injustice, in the way you treat those who can give you nothing in return. Let your life be the first sermon. The rest will come naturally, at the right time, when someone finally gathers the courage to ask the question that your life has already answered a thousand times.
You do not need perfect answers. You need a sincere heart that knows Jesus. The rest, He takes care of.
