"Do not gloat over me, my enemy! Though I have fallen, I will rise. Though I sit in darkness, the Lord will be my light."
— Miquéias 7:8-9
There is something peculiar about the fear that paralyzes us: it makes us believe that we are alone in the darkness. When we face doubts, when our plans crumble, when courage seems to have abandoned us, we look around and see only shadows. But the truth that Micaiah whispers to us today is radical: those who fall are not condemned to stay fallen. There is no darkness so deep that God's light cannot penetrate it.
The prophet Micaiah wrote this during dark times in Judah. There was corruption among leaders, injustice in the streets, and the people felt the weight of living in a broken world. But amid that devastating reality, Micaiah does not speak as a defeated man. He speaks as someone who has already known the other side of darkness. His confidence did not come from favorable circumstances, but from an unwavering conviction: God is light, and light cannot coexist with darkness without transforming it.
What makes us hesitate today—the fear of failure, doubt about our ability, the fear that we won't make it—all of this is fed by the darkness of disbelief. When we believe only in what we see, we remain trapped by what seems impossible. But when we allow God's light to illuminate our path, the perspective changes completely. Not because the obstacles disappear, but because we stop defining them as the end of the story. God's fire consumes that hesitation, burns away disbelief, and restores us to courage.
Tuesday is an excellent day to make a simple but powerful choice: to declare that you will not stay lying in darkness. That you will rise. That God's light is already here, waiting only for your decision to walk in it. This does not mean denying difficulties—it means recognizing that there is something greater than them. It means choosing to trust when trust is an act of pure faith.
You may be fallen today, but Micaiah wants you to know: this is not your destiny, it is only your position at this moment. Rise up. The light is already searching for you.
