"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope."

— Jeremiah 29:11

There are moments in our lives when we wonder whether we truly matter, whether our existence has meaning beyond the daily routines that consume us. It is common to wake up feeling a vague sense of emptiness, as if we were just going through the motions without understanding the true reason for our journey. On this day, the Lord invites us to look beyond the surface and discover that each life has a purpose deeply considered in the thoughts of God.

When Jeremiah wrote these words to the exiles in Babylon, they were in devastating circumstances. Far from home, stripped of their freedom, those people could have abandoned all hope. Yet God had not abandoned His plan for them. He assured them that His thoughts toward them were of peace and not of evil. This was not empty comfort, but a promise grounded in divine faithfulness. The context shows us that God always works beyond our present limitations and difficulties, weaving a purpose that transcends the current moment.

The challenge of discovering our purpose often lies in our tendency to confuse calling with profession, or to try to fit into molds the world has established. But God does not operate this way. His purpose is multifaceted and permeates every aspect of our existence: the relationships we cultivate, how we impact those around us, how we respond to challenges, and how we allow His grace to transform us. Discovering this purpose is a continuous process of dying to our own plans and being born into His. It is recognizing that we were created with specific intention, that our talents are not accidental, and that even our wounds can be used to heal others.

To truly live out God's purpose, we must first silence the external voices that constantly seek to define us. Dedicate time in prayer to dialogue with the Holy Spirit about who you are called to be. Examine your gifts, your authentic passions, and the needs around you that stir your heart. Small acts of daily obedience are often the foundations upon which God builds greater purposes. Begin today, on this very day, by performing one action aligned with kingdom values. Be more attentive, more honest, more generous. Purpose does not reside only in tomorrow's grand achievement; it also dwells in today's simple faithfulness.

Hold in your heart the certainty that God did not create you by accident. His thoughts toward you are of peace, directed toward a glorious end and an unshakeable hope. Your journey has meaning, your struggles have purpose, and your life is part of an incomparably greater divine plan. Allow yourself today the freedom to seek this purpose with renewed courage, knowing that the Holy Spirit will guide you at every step.

Prayer:

Lord, I open my heart to understand the purpose You have prepared for my life. Help me to silence the voices that lead me astray and to hear with clarity Your voice that calls me. Grant me courage to live with intention and faith to trust that my days have eternal significance in Your hands. Amen.

Deus não está longe. Ele está aqui, nesse momento, com você.
