The book of Haggai speaks to a people who had returned from exile, a broken and discouraged people. The Lord's house lay in ruins; the temple had not been rebuilt as God had commanded. Faced with this desolate situation, God did not send messages of condemnation or despair. Instead, He sent Haggai with a word of encouragement: "Be strong." Three times the word is repeated—for the leader, for the priest, for the people. It was not an empty demand, but a call to move forward with confidence, because God Himself was with them.
What is the difference between trying alone and working with God? Everything. When you face this Monday with the awareness that the Lord Almighty stands by your side, the nature of the challenge changes. The obstacles don't disappear, but they gain perspective. The excellence you seek to achieve in your work is not merely a personal goal—it is an expression of worship, a reflection of God's character in your life. When you work with excellence, knowing He is by your side, each task becomes sacred, each detail matters, because you are working for God's glory, not merely for human recognition.
This week, when you feel you don't have enough strength, remember: strength does not come from you. It comes from Him who holds the armies of heaven in His hands. God is not impressed only with the final result; He is with you in the process. Every step you take with confidence in Him is an act of worship. Therefore, rise up, work with excellence and purpose, because the Lord is with you.
This is your new beginning. It's not another one; it's the new beginning that matters, what you do from now on, with God by your side. May this week be marked by the strength that comes from divine presence, by the excellence that reflects the character of Christ, and by the certainty that you are not alone.
