"And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive."

— Matthew 21:22

There are wounds we have carried for years. Hurts that have become part of our identity, so familiar we have almost forgotten what it was like to live without them. As autumn arrives in the Southern Hemisphere and spring awakens in the north, God invites us into a transforming encounter: the discovery that our faith is not merely an abstract concept, but a living force capable of moving both inner and outer mountains.

Jesus was not being metaphorical when He spoke about mountains. He understood that every human being faces obstacles that seem insurmountable. For some, they are external circumstances. For others, they are the mountains of insecurity, rejection, trauma, and emotional pain that reside within the soul. The context of Matthew 21 shows us Jesus in a moment of profound teaching. He had cursed the barren fig tree, and the disciples were amazed. But His message went beyond the miracle: it was about the latent power in every person who genuinely believes.

Inner healing begins when we understand that faith is not the positive certainty that everything will work out according to our plans. True faith is trust in the goodness of God even in the face of the unknown. It is recognizing that our wounds have meaning, that God does not ignore them, but redeems them for transformation. When we ask in prayer, believing, we are not merely requesting external changes. We are allowing the Holy Spirit to enter the secret chambers of our heart and begin the work of true healing. This requires vulnerability, honesty with God about our suffering, and the willingness to be transformed.

The practical application is both challenging and liberating simultaneously. Begin by identifying the greatest mountain you face today. Not the greatest of the year or of your life, but the one that weighs upon your heart at this moment. Now, in sincere prayer, surrender it to God—not with a faith that guarantees immediate results, but with faith that trusts in the divine presence and wisdom throughout the process. Pray over the inner wounds that may be feeding that mountain. Seek spiritual, emotional, or professional support if needed. Remember: faith that heals does not deny the reality of pain, but reframes it in the light of Christ's redeeming love.

On this day, you are not alone in your mountains. Jesus walks with you, and His faith in you is infinitely greater than the faith you can muster in yourself. The mountains will be moved not by the perfection of your belief, but by the permanence of your surrender. May the Holy Spirit tend to your heart today and always.

Prayer:

Lord, I bring before You every mountain I carry and every wound that dwells in my heart. I ask that a living and genuine faith blossom in me—not the faith that denies pain, but the one that faces it with Your presence. Heal me from the inside out and move, in Your perfect time, every obstacle that keeps me from Your love.

Deus não está longe. Ele está aqui, nesse momento, com você.
