"Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth."

— Salmo 46:10

In a world that never stops shouting, can you remember the last time you were truly silent? Not that restless silence where your mind keeps working, but that genuine silence where you simply... exist. It is in this sacred space that God speaks most loudly, not through deafening words, but through a presence that calms the internal storms.

Salmo 46:10 is a hymn of confidence written for times of crisis. The psalmists faced wars, persecutions, uncertainties not so different from ours. But the psalmist does not cry out for immediate solutions; he invites us to pause. "Be still" is not a passive suggestion—it is a revolutionary invitation to interrupt the restlessness and remember who is truly in control. This act of quieting oneself is an act of radical faith.

Most of us confuse closeness with God with frenzied activity: more prayers, more Bible reading, more service. But God often whispers: "We just need to be together." When you grow quiet, not to escape life, but to reconnect with the reality that matters, you discover something profound: that your identity is not in what you do or what you solve, but simply in the fact that He is God and you are loved. In this silence, the answers you desperately sought begin to take shape—not because God finally answered, but because you finally learned to listen.

Today, set aside twenty minutes. Not to ask for anything. Just to be. Turn off the notifications, pause the mental planning, and let yourself be known by the One who already knows every hair on your head. Perhaps you will discover that the healing you sought begins in the silence you feared to find.

This quietness is not weakness—it is strength renewed in your deepest core.

Prayer:

Father, teach me to stop. Fill my heart with courage to cease striving and simply rest in Your arms. In the silence of this moment, I want to hear Your gentle voice reminding me of who I truly am in You. Thank You for being here, always waiting for me.

Deus não está longe. Ele está aqui, nesse momento, com você.
