"A man came from Baal Shalisha, bringing the man of God twenty loaves of barley bread baked from the first ripe grain, along with some heads of new grain. 'Give it to the people to eat,' said Elisha. 'How can I set this before a hundred men?' his servant asked. But Elisha replied, 'Give it to the people to eat. For this is what the Lord says: They will eat and have some left over.' Then he set it before them, and they ate and had some left over, according to the word of the Lord."

— 2 Reis 4:42-44

There are days when we feel poor in the face of the needs around us. We look at what we have and think: 'This is so little, so insignificant.' A man came to Elisha with only twenty loaves of barley bread and some green heads of grain. That was all he possessed to share. But the prophet did not see scarcity; he saw an opportunity for God to act.

The context of this story is profound. Israel faced a terrible famine. People desperately needed food. That poor man, in the midst of scarcity, decided to share his firstfruits with the man of God. It was not much. It was almost nothing. But it was genuine, it was sacrificial, it was his whole heart in the form of food.

When Elisha asked his servant to distribute those loaves among a hundred hungry men, the situation seemed absurd. How could twenty loaves feed a hundred people? But here lies the truth that God wants you to grasp today: the miracle is not in the quantity of what you have, but in the quality of faith with which you give. That small gesture, that genuine offering, was the portal through which divine provision flowed. Everyone ate and there was some left over. God's abundance knows no limits when it finds a heart willing to trust and share.

You may be thinking that you have very little to offer. Perhaps your abilities seem modest, your resources limited, your influence small. But God does not look at quantity; He looks at the offering. When you offer what you genuinely possess, recognizing that it comes from His hands, miracles happen. Your 'twenty barley crumbs' can feed multitudes. Your small sacrifice can generate abundance you never imagined.

Today, God's question for you is simple: do you trust that His provision is greater than your scarcity? Are you willing to share and trust, even when it seems insufficient? When you do your part with genuine faith, God does the impossible. The abundance you seek does not begin with the quantity you have; it begins with the quality of your offering and trust.

Prayer:

Lord, thank You for showing me that true wealth is not in what I possess, but in the faith with which I surrender everything into Your hands. Increase my confidence in Your provision and help me share with generosity, even when it seems small. May my 'crumbs' become abundance in Your blessed hands.

Deus não está longe. Ele está aqui, nesse momento, com você.
